The most generative and the most detrimental activities in your life are those small things you do repetitively over a long period of time.”
-Don Ash Barrs

At age 11, I realized that I have an intuitive ability for working with bodies. I continued self-exploration of these abilities for the next 20 years, studying with several mentors in the fields of massage, energywork, shamanism, esoteric healing, TaiJi, and QiGong along the way.

In 2003 I was licensed in Massage Therapy and Bodywork and so began my professional massage career, following in the footsteps of Earle Timberlake (OH), one of the country’s top TriggerPoint therapists. I was certified as a Clinical Somatic Therapist, under the tutelage of Timberlake, the next year. For the past 20 years I have focused on pain management, injury recovery and sports enhancement through deactivation of TriggerPoints combined with Fascial and Myofascial Release, stretching and structural realignment techniques.

2007 brought a certification to practice Core Synchronism, an energywork modality based on Polarity Therapy and Cranial Osteopathy, along with some other hand therapies. I’ve worked with athletes in Junior Olympic fencing, Semi-Pro and Pro Hockey, Major League Baseball, Pro Circuit Racing Bicyclists, Rodeo Bull Riders, Ultra-Marathoners (50-200milers) and Mixed Martial Artists, including a titleholder in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). I’ve worked with musicians from local talents to world touring and recording artists; Symphonic to Jazz to Rock’n’Roll. I have an intimate knowledge of musicians’ postures and body mechanics, being a lifelong musician myself. I’ve worked with the “nine-to-fivers” and the “average Joe’s” who have reached a point where “nothing seems to be helping” or “no one seems to be able to tell me what’s causing (this…)”; those people who want to leave surgery and/or medications as a last resort, not first option. My first Body Workshop was in 2007. It was developed to ease people into Body Awareness, giving them simple, effective tools to incorporate into their lives to increase range of motion, ease stress, improve athletic or work performance, reduce pain, etc. My initial workshops lead to a series of workshops focusing on different areas of performance and function. Development of more workshops and classes is on-going.
